Lasting, meaningful change in any society must arise from within the hearts and souls of its members. Any effort to change our environment without first changing ourselves is doomed to failure. We can only truly teach by example.

META is an inspired, cooperative community of media professionals where we share creative inspiration and the generous sharing of information and tools from many sources.  One's choice of medium is of secondary concern - support of the creative and personal integrity of each individual is the focus of our work.

META's members agree to conduct their business and lives according to Guiding Principles so that we may all stand firmly grounded in our own personal integrity. It is, in essence, a warrior's stance - the courage to face our own hidden fears, so that we can resist the forces that tend to pull us out of integrity.

We support our members in living the truth of their convictions, and standing for this truth in their work as media producers. This stand opens a world of possibility that allows us to create transformation in every area of life.

• META's Media Resource Bank is constantly updated with practical information on media organizations, projects, job and educational opportunities, distribution and funding sources, professional services from members and allied companies and many other resources
• Our Newsletter helps keep you up to date with community news, industry news, member's announcements, new resources and events
• Our Calendar allows members to track META and media industry events, as well as post their own events.
• Professional and Social gatherings that have offered a variety of enlivening experiences: presentations of members' work, speakers, seminars on media-related topics, or project brainstorming sessions, and time for just hanging out.

Members find META to be a great way to make business connections and new friends,, and to receive personal and professional support in fullfilling our collective and individual missions.

META is a non-profit trade association. Membership in META is open to those who participate in the creation, dissemination, and promotion of Media, Entertainment, Technology or Art that is focused on creating a world that works for everyone's mutual benefit and a better planet.

Membership Categories:

• Individual Membership - $198. Full membership benefits. A special Charter Membership rate of $98. is available until Fall, 2010.
• Student Membership - $49. - with current Student body card. Selected membership benefits.
• Affiliate - includes free, free public newsletter, email announcements and invitations to networking and social events
• Corporate Membership provided upon request.
