Robert Kenner's Food, Inc. is a documentary that tells the story about how agribusiness took over production of our country's food supply. This has resulted in our food having very little nutritional value which has led to widespread obesity (no pun intended), a variety of other health problems and putting small farmers out of business.

Corn is subsidized by our government (your tax dollars) and this has resulted in high fructose corn syrup and many other ingredients to be added to almost all processed food. This is a windfall for the few giant conglomerates (Tyson and IBP) that manufacture most of our food. They created such an enormous surplus of corn that they needed to develop new corn products such as ethanol. To add injury to insult, they feed corn to cows that are supposed to eat grass to get them fatter quicker. This results in sick cows and has caused E-coli bacteria to spread even finding it's way into vegetables. Additionally, the FDA is run by former Monsanto executives so our safety is second (or last) to Monsanto's profits. You will be amazed and dismayed at how Monsanto crushes little farmers who don't use their patented (genetically modified) Monsanto brand seeds.

This movie is a must see for anyone who eats food other than from their own, organic garden.
