Robert W. Plath, Executive Director of the World Wide Forgiveness Alliance, is a well-known San Francisco Bay Area defense attorney.
Bob, who founded the Forgiveness Alliance 12 years ago, has become a force for spreading the important practice of forgiveness worldwide and his Bay Area non-profit offers workshops and training programs as well as work with local groups such as the Marin Services for Women, and work with the elderly. Bob was co-founder and Director of the Teachers Foundation, which brought the work of A Course In Miracles into the prisons in California for many years. Current projects include presenting proposals to the John Burton Foundation to bring forgiveness workshops to young adults and to their counselors in the Foster Care system. They have also approached the Coming Home Project with the intention of brining forgiveness workshops to returning veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq, and are working on The WFA Story and Heroes of Forgiveness Book.
Bob was able to share his vision with then Democratic candidate for President, Barack Obama, this past summer. The future President was very supportive of Bob’s forgiveness work. And as President Obama has indicated so many times, we need to create a new America—one of hope based on change and community effort.
