PTV Entertainment Producer wanted. LA 18 KSCI-TV is the premier Asian-language television station in the United States, broadcasting throughout Southern California. The Entertainment Producer will coordinate all of LA 18's entertainment content for its various language services, working with the major entertainment companies for access to red carpet media events, press junkets and daily news coverage. We are looking for a creative, dynamic producer who is passionate about all things Hollywood, Asia and the entertainment business. 9/16. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Write / Coordinate daily entertainment news coverage for Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Filipino TV news programs.
2. Manage freelance camera crews to cover various daily news events.
3. Work with entertainment company publicity departments to secure electronic media kits.
4. Field produce media events including press junkets (interviews) and red carpet/movie premieres.
5. Develop new entertainment segments for web and television and television distribution.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
1. Must have thorough knowledge of entertainment publicity system.
2. Must have passion for entertainment news and gossip, and be able to write and produce compelling stories about it.
3. Must be able to work effectively under tight deadlines and budgets in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual environment.
4. Spoken fluency in Korean or Mandarin preferred but not required.
5. Basic non-linear video editing skills needed, as well as knowledge of AP ENPS or Avid iNews.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Two to three years experience in entertainment media production (TV, online or radio) required.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours may vary. Normal hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Must be available to cover entertainment events.
